We packed it in this weekend enjoying the indoors, the outdoors, and the squared circle!
I volunteered at the annual Makers Trail Festival at Weko Beach in Bridgman. It was a beautiful summer day filled with live music, food trucks, and, of course, breweries, wineries, and distilleries. I helped out in the Haymarket tent, pouring beers for tasters and taking in the live bands...as well as a few brews, of course, once my shift was done.
While I was hanging at the beach, Kristin was in South Bend representing Wicked Pop Candle Company at the latest Rocki Button event. The RB had filled its downtown South Bend space with art and creations from local artisans, as well as music and food.
Saturday night brought with it the latest event from Revolution Championship Wrestling. There was solid talent in the room, with heroes and villains battling in the ring while we hooted, hollered, and harassed the heels.
We also had to swing by Dainty Maid Food Hall, as DJ Chuck Fry was in the house, spinning tunes for the Taylor Swift Dance Party. The crowd sang and danced the night away, voting for their favorite Swift tune with their dollars, which were collected for donation to the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County.
Sunday brought the latest Niles Downtown Market Crawl, with vendors stationed through downtown inside various businesses, selling their wares. The Homegrown Market is gearing up for their summer schedule, with Wednesday and Sunday markets starting soon. Check out the dates and details here.
Cheers!
Here's to life!
